100 things that made me f*cking happy in 2025

  1. Becoming a biker.
If this was a ranked list (which it’s not), this one would place very high. I had postponed buying a bicycle for many years. This year I got a mountain bike and became obsessed with cycling. I did around 900 km this year, mostly on trails in forests. I started taking a bike to work, and I also rode with Maty a lot.

  2. Not drinking.
I was “not drinking by default” for a long time. But over the past years, I've stopped drinking entirely. I don’t know how many days I’ve been sober (and my statistics-loving ego hates that). I never thought that I, such a wine lover, would ever write this but: not drinking makes me really happy.

  3. Our home.
A house became a home and we really enjoy it. I’m glad that we found amazing people to help us make it happen: our architect Gabriela Knyblová and the wood magicians from Futuro Studio.

  4. Hosting Gary Vee on our live show on X.
Not gonna lie, this was a huge deal for me. If you’ve followed me, you know what Gary means to my journey. To be able to have him as a guest on our show was such an amazing experience.

  5. Ape Street Gallery by Infi Torem.
My beloved project, a gallery showcasing the Bored Ape Yacht Club ecosystem to the public. Winter was cruel to the artworks, so we repaired the wall, and I’m really happy that Bored Apes from all over the world come to visit it.

  6. Ivon’s homemade sourdough bread with butter.
It must be at least 13 years she’s been baking it pretty much every week, just to keep the sourdough alive. And I’m not complaining at all. Not to mention this year’s homemade masterpieces: mint jam and plum nutella from Infi Torem Coffee Chocolate.

  7. Netflix.
I hate Netflix just like everybody else does. My most hated series this year were: Black Mirror, Inventing Anna, Squid Game, One Day, The Four Seasons, aka Charlie Sheen, and The Sandman.

  8. Maty’s outfits and costumes.

  9. If you know you know a.k.a. 12:34 a.k.a. our very first brand campaign.

  10. Bedřichov.
One of our very favorite getaways, both in winter and summer. We love to stay at Statek u Rajtrů. And the “lokše” with pulled meat at Stánek Maliník are a must.

  11. Having friends over at our house for Ivon’s legendary brunches.

  12. Lego.
Maty’s obsession I’m very happy for. I’m also happy we’re building Seva, which was my favorite toy in childhood.

  13. Sharing “What alcohol does to your body, brain & health” with friends.

  14. Spending time with my parents.

  15. My chef friends in the Michelin guide.
One star going to Entreé and Přemek Forejt, green star to my favorite place Dvůr Perlová Voda & Ondřej Hutnik, BIB for Forbidden Taste’s ex-chef Petr, young chef award goes to the chef of my favorite restaurants Dian & Taro, a star for my beloved Štangl, etc. I was so happy for them – as if I got those awards myself. Don’t forget to check my list. You’ll probably find some of next year’s Michelin stars there, too.

  16. DAY1 Health Club.
    Definitely became my happy place.

  17. Lunches with Dian.

  18. Snowboarding with Maty.
He got a snowboard for Christmas, and I decided to teach him. After our fourth session, I realized I need to get him an instructor, otherwise we both explode. Sometimes a “third party” is the best decision. After just a few sessions with the snowboarding legend Marek Hlinican, he improved so much.

  19. Filter coffee workshop in UM.
I’ve done several of these in my life and keep forgetting everything. But this one, with Ondřej Štökl, was very intensive, and I definitely topped my filter coffee game.

  20. The Diary of a CEO.
Probably my favorite podcast right now. My highlights: Mo Gawdat, Matthew McConaughey, Scooter Braun, Mr. Beast, former CIA spies and Simon Sinek.

  21. Boys’ afternoons in DOX.
With my friend Stano and his son. The guys are having fun, we get to talk and enjoy some amazing art along the way.

  22. Bistro Karel.
I slowly became a stammgast here. Not only over the weekends or during our lunch brainstorm sessions, but also as a coffee stop on my bike route.

  23. Playing UNO.
I know it would be easier to give a child a phone to watch or play while waiting for food in a restaurant. But we never really did. We’d rather play UNO or paint.

  24. Co-hosting Grateful Show two times a week.
I know, you think NFTs are “dead.” Yet, we’re on episode 427 and counting… Our audience is all over the world and I talk to many of my “internet friends” more often than to my IRL friends.

  25. Wall climbing.
I need to admit it’s not me who climbs, I only “train” Maty. But I promise that this will change by next year’s list.

  26. Having an ice bath in my garden.
    Such a game changer.

  27. A weighted pull-up with 15 kilos.
    Oh, and re-learning handstands.

  28. Spontaneous days with Maty.
We started these some time ago and repeat them a few times a year. A day when we just set a random destination, and whatever grabs our attention along the way, we stop and go there.

  29. Kavárna Pod pavlačí.
The most hidden gem around Prague. We have lunch here almost every weekend, without any exaggeration.

  30. Infi Torem in Paris.
Not only getting the attention in front of the Louvre (no idea who did that). But also having an exhibition and a brand activation with Infi Torem during NFT Paris (without even going to the event).

  31. Pandafoo Tips.
We did quite a few tips for cool places for kids. All are on @pandafooworld Instagram.

  32. A weekend in Trnava.
Showing Maty our alma mater, taking him to our favorite sushi spot, showing him uncle Dian’s legendary street art pieces, and the exact place where his parents met (with having to role play it).

  33. Truffle smash burger at Burgerman.

  34. Breakfast dates with my wife.

  35. Revolut.
How did I not use this earlier!? I’ve basically been donating money to banks in fees while traveling.

  36. Celebrating Dian’s birthday (twice).
And being able to resurrect Forbidden Taste’s signature dish (“Sweet Tattoo”) as our gift to him.

  37. Tante Frida.
The best place for kids. Period.

  38. Dressing up as a large panda for our friends’ costume party.

  39. Preparing for the Otherside metaverse by buying virtual lands.

  40. Wedding anniversary trip with Ivon.
We stayed in a brilliant place called V březovém údolí. It was recently featured in the Michelin guide (well deserved). Reading, eating, chilling, hiking, picking berries. Oh yeah, and going cycling alone in the dark, in the crazy hills, was also something else…

  41. Creating Google Maps with all my fav places.
Every time some of my friends are in Prague, I send them some tips, but I really wanted to put all the tips in one place. So I created a Google Maps list with most of my all-time favorites.

  42. Snowboarding and skateboarding.

  43. Our investors.
I just went through the business plan we were pitching six years ago. And we made it all happen. Actually, a little better.

  44. Truffle bigoli and tiramisu at Matilda Letná.
Currently my second most favorite tiramisu (after Ivon’s). Third place goes to Sugo Karlín.

  45. My “protocol”.
The workout routine, sauna, red light therapy, cold plunges, cryo chamber... And of course, prioritizing sleep, using the Oura Ring, blue light-blocking glasses and now also the 7 kg weighted Hevi blanket…

  46. A collab and a pop-up store: Life is Porno × Jakub Matiašovič.

  47. Picking herbs with Ivon & Mimča in Liptov.

  48. Starting a Life is Porno WhatsApp channel.
And letting our crazy intern take care of it behind my back.

  49. Fathers & sons jiu jitsu.
At first, I thought it was just the kids having a jiu jitsu lesson. At the first one, I found out it’s also us fathers. I’ve gotten sweaty every Friday ever since.

  50. Spending most of May in Sardinia with my family.
Hikes, beaches, drives, sand castles, Maty’s birthday... and all the food, of course.

  51. Audiobooks.
I also started reading again (was basically only listening to books the past years). But audiobooks are still the medium I probably spend most of my time with.

  52. Going to an aquapark with Maty.
Used to go swimming here a lot, but now basically only with Maty. We have our own games that we play and never can believe we’ve already been there for three hours.

  53. Infi Torem’s Sticker Wall.

  54. Children's music festival Fesťáček in heavy rain.

  55. Forbes Business Fest.
It’s very hard for me to take a step and go to a conference.
But when I do, I’m happy I did. The event itself was pretty interesting, but the best part was definitely that so many friends were condensed in one place.

  56. Bike trip in Biderosa Oasis, Sardinia.
33 km on e-bikes in crazy terrain, from sand, through mud, to rocky hills. Often felt more like motocross than cycling. My guide Dario was truly amazing. And I kept talking about it so much that my friends gave me another tour with him for my birthday.

  57. Mindzero experience.
I was invited to my friend David’s really cool session with a group of amazing people. Unfortunately, the main public event didn’t happen in the end, but our private experience was 100% worth it.

  58. Spending a night in a castle.
Also the family celebrations, traditional Easter in Slovakia and a family wedding.

  59. Crafting prompts and going viral by letting other people use them.

  60. KeChaud Memorial Jam.
One day before Mystic Skate Cup, we organized the annual skate session to commemorate our brother KeChaud Johnson at Stalin plaza.

  61. Boys’ glamping trip with Maty.
Already our third time going to Moravian Tuscany for my favorite few days of the year. The tent is in the middle of nowhere, actually in the middle of apricot fields. And this year we had to solve an ongoing scavenger hunt that secret villains prepared for us. We camp, play, go swimming, spend time with our friends from Herufek Chocolatery, and just enjoy being together. The next one is already booked.

  62. Life is Porno Birthday Week.
As every year, we gave away tons of stuff during our birthday week. This year we hid our goods in almost 90 different spots. No matter how big or small the town was, it took on average 10–15 minutes until a hunter appeared. Our fans are wild…

  63. Our garden.
This year was rich for tomatoes, strawberries and zucchini. Each family member happy for one of these.

  64. Halušky.

  65. Yaksha’s birthday party.
Seeing so many familiar faces after a really long time was great. I had a lot of fun and so many great conversations.

  66. Maty creating a skateboard deck with his “brand” BID (together with our barber Filas’ barbershop).
Maty actually also “designed” Life is Porno’s Lil’Maty Tee and one of my Infi Torem limited T-shirts.

  67. Sleeping in a tent (and yeah, building it) in heavy rain.
Also a “survival camp” I prepared for Maty and his friend.

  68. Not drinking coffee for three weeks.
Ok, this did not make me happy at all. But I wanted to clean myself from caffeine for the first time in many, many years. The first days’ headaches were really tough. Extremely terrible. But the first coffee after the fasting was so worth it.

  69. My lecture at Skate Progress Camp.
Being able to talk to youngsters in my hometown skatepark - where I spent basically my teenage years - and tell them about my journey, the “business of skateboarding,” getting sponsors, etc… That was really fulfilling.

  70. Cryo chamber.
Spending three minutes at -90°C at least once a week.

  71. Maty starting school.
It felt surreal. You know how they told us when we were kids? “You’ll see how you get old on your children.” They were right.

  72. Cirque du Soleil in Prague.

  73. Life is Porno Sample Sale.
People waiting for hours in line to get some rare pieces, samples and exclusive stuff. This event hits different…

  74. Dinner in Štangl.

  75. My birthday.
I got a box full of 40 gifts in the morning. And they all were experiences and things I love I got to experience throughout the day with the two people I love the most. It was definitely one of the best days of my life. Too good.

  76. 90 seconds with Lukáš Hejlík.

  77. Being hijacked to Drake’s concert in Munich by Dian as a birthday gift.

  78. Red Bull Dance Your Style.
And seeing the speakers rocking our never-released leather jackets in front of a huge crowd.

  79. Courtside seats at the Slávia Praha basketball games.

  80. Octopus in Hong Kong Karlín.

  81. My birthday party.
Very hard to describe such a beautiful vibe. It was a very special day and I’m forever grateful to be surrounded with so many amazing human beings.

  82. Life is Porno collabs.
A ring with Anna Baum, our own wakeboard, or collections with young designers Vortex and Koldhart. Oh, and one of my favorite products: The “Batch king” coffee mug.

  83. Sphere in Vegas.
Another birthday gift, this time from my friend Grateful Ape. It was a mindblowing experience, from the interior design to all the immersive effects. I think this might be the only reason why I would ever come back to Vegas.

  84. ApeFest.
After NYC, Hong Kong and Lisbon, this time in Las Vegas. Spending time with my fellow Bored Ape Yacht Club members made me definitely happy. Having a media pass and seeing Clipse concert from under the stage was a cherry on top.

  85. ComplexCon.
Even though it was not the bucket list version of ComplexCon (= exhibiting there with Life is Porno), these were two hectic days full of inspiration. Also, Central Cee is currently one of my favorite MCs and his gig was perfect.

  86. Taking the “Hyperloop”.
We urgently need one in Prague.

  87. Accidentally staying in LA in the same hotel as our Polish bro Żabson.
And creating custom Timberlands for him on a parking lot night session.

  88. Meeting with the owner of one of the most iconic skateboarding brands.
I mean… I can’t talk about this just yet but this brand defined how skateboarding aesthetics looks like (and well, how I looked like in my teens). To make it even better, the meeting took place in the art studio of a hilarious artist David Flores outside of LA. I’ll never forget this.

  89. Randomly talking to a guy carrying a large Bearbrick in Vegas.
Just to find out he’s deep in the street fashion industry, and we had a cool lunch together a few days later in LA. By the way, our two and a half days in LA were the true definition of “Life is Porno”. Karma gave us so many amazing things, it felt like a month…

  90. Going “trick-or-treat” on Halloween.

  91. Two days in a row in O2 Arena.
Once for FMX Gladiator Games with a backstage pass to cheer for Matěj Česák. And the next day at a HC Sparta Praha ice hockey game in a lounge with the Amazing places bosses.

  92. Having my NYC bro Luca for a few days in Prague.
Even going to the Addict party with him.

  93. Sunsetting loof.
No, this actually didn’t make me happy at first. We acquired the kids’ brand loof three years ago. We invested a lot of time, money and resources to make it work. But it didn’t. Not for one single reason, but for many different reasons. It was a huge hit for my ego. But then I realized that we’re spending way too much effort somewhere where we’re losing, versus spending it where we’re winning. So the tough decision had to come.

  94. A weekend in Haarlem with Peter and Olli.
Cycling, chilling in saunas, having a fine dining experience and talking, talking, talking. I’m so grateful for having such friends in my life.

  95. Being invited for a dinner in Skô restaurant before its opening.
Can’t wait for this new Slovak restaurant by my friend chef Tomáš Valkovič to open.

  96. The annual family dinner at the Forbidden Spot with our Life is Porno team.
And getting a surprise video message from them as a present.

  97. A visit from our Peruvian friend Brenda.
And getting to know Alex, who is such a London legend.

  98. Spending Christmas at home with the two most amazing people.
Also cooking the Christmas dinner, and not messing it up.

  99. Extra Mile Newsletter.

  100. The best message of 2025 about the best gift that will arrive in 2026.

The inspiration for this list came from Michelle Losekoot (and her from Austin Kleon).

I did my first 100-things-list two years ago, and writing it reminded me of one thing:

Life is not happening “later”.

It’s happening between breakfasts, bike rides, random conversations, and moments you almost forget to notice.

If this email did anything, I hope it made you smile.
Or pause.
Or think about your own list.

Thank you for being here.
For reading.
For replying to my e-mails.
For staying curious.

That’s enough screens for today.
Go enjoy the final day of the year.

Happy New Year, Extra Mile fam!
