It's always late
And never too late at the same time.
Imagine running a race where the finish line keeps moving.
It's like playing Mario Kart, but the only item you get is a banana peel.
That's life. We set goals, chase dreams, and just when we're about to catch them, whoosh, the finish line jumps ahead.
It's December. The time when we all think, "Where the hell did the year go?"
And if your New Year's resolution was to procrastinate more, congratulations, you're probably ahead of schedule.
We had plans, resolutions, goals…
And if you're feeling like you're running behind, guess what? You're not alone.
Here is a thought I’ve had in mind lately:
"It's always late. And it's never too late at the same time."
Sounds like a riddle, right? Let me explain.
Being 'late' can be your secret weapon. How?
When you're playing catch-up, you push harder.
You innovate.
You take shortcuts you wouldn't have seen if you were leading.
There's a raw, creative energy in the last-minute rush. It's when you say, "It's now or never," and you give it your all. That's when the magic happens.
There have been things I was psyched about in January. But I barely scratched the surface till November rolled in. But then, the 'late' panic kicked in.
And I realized it was good I had been delaying the start.
So, here's my end-of-the-year nudge for you: it's never too late to start.
That business idea, that hobby you wanted to pick up, that book you wanted to write — it's waiting for you.
And if you feel it's too late? That's your cue to run faster, dream bigger, and leap higher.
As we sip our eggnog and wrap our gifts, let's also wrap up those loose ends. Let's turn the 'too lates' into triumphs.
Remember, in the race against time, every second is a new chance to start.
You don’t need to see “January 1st” in the calendar. You can take the first step right now.
What’s one small action you can take today towards your goal? Even if it's as simple as talking to GPT about an idea, researching for five minutes, or just opening that dusty guitar case. Small steps lead to big leaps.
So start now, start bold, and let's sprint into the new year with victories in our pockets!
To the endless possibilities of 'now' and the thrill of the last minute,
Carpe Diem,
Tino
