Taking action is taking action
It isn't reading a wise newsletter (ehm, not even this one).
Taking action is taking action.
It isn't reading a wise newsletter (ehm, not even this one).
It isn't listening to a smart podcast.
It isn't going through another analysis.
You’re loaded with information. You’re soaking it all in.
But are you moving forward? Or just marinating in thoughts?
Taking action is taking action.
I once heard, "The lower the IQ, the more money you make."
How come?
Consider those super-analytical people – engineers, scientists, doctors.
Their world is high stakes. A single error can be disastrous.
If you’re building a car, a rocket, a building, or whatever - a lot of people could die if you make a mistake.
So, they are trained to be risk-alert, to overthink.
They see every possible pitfall.
This cautiousness, while crucial in their fields, can be a barrier elsewhere. Like in taking bold, entrepreneurial leaps.
Because taking action isn't about endless planning.
It’s about getting out there and making things happen.
I’m not downplaying the value of knowledge or preparation.
But there’s this tricky line between being ready and being stuck in the readiness loop.
Entrepreneurship, creativity, making a dent – it’s often about gut feelings and jumping in.
Yes, analyze, but don’t freeze in your tracks.
Think about it. How many times have you found yourself stuck in the 'preparation phase'?
That’s not action.
Drafting, creating, pitching, experimenting – that’s where the action is.
So, here’s what I’m saying: Let’s put our learnings to use. Let’s take a step, even a tiny one, towards that crazy idea.
Pick up that phone. Write that DM.
And remember, sometimes the boldest moves are made by those who dared to jump first and think later.
Carpe Diem,
