Learn Business from Toothpaste? Hell Yeah!
Let's squeeze that tube.
You know that feeling when you're almost out of toothpaste?
Suddenly, every squeeze matters.
You're contorting the tube, trying to wring out every last bit. Because damn it, you don’t have another toothpaste and you need to brush your teeth right now!
But what happens when you open a fresh tube?
You just keep squeezing it, hardly giving it a second thought.
If a big blob falls onto the sink, no big deal. You've got plenty more where that came from.
Funny, isn't it? I’m pretty sure this mirrors also our approach to business.
When shit hits the fan in business—when sales are tanking, deadlines are looming, and your back is against the wall—you're determined to extract every bit of that toothpaste.
You hustle, you innovate, you pivot.
Failure is not an option. You've got bills to pay and dreams to chase.
But when the sun is shining and the birds are singing, it's a different story.
You splurge on unnecessary expenses, you let opportunities slip through your fingers, and you're not as laser-focused on squeezing every drop of potential from your business.
It's human nature, really.
We're wired to conserve resources when times are tough and let loose when the coast is clear.
But the most successful entrepreneurs—the ones who thrive regardless of the economic climate—are the ones who approach their business like they approach that nearly empty tube of toothpaste.
So let’s try to treat every day in business like we're squeezing the last bit of toothpaste from the tube.
Be relentless.
Be resourceful.
Be damn sure you're not leaving any opportunity untapped.
Because in the end, it's not about how much toothpaste you have left—it's about how effectively you use what you've got.
Carpe Diem,
Tino
P.S. Remember, every drop counts.
